Last week was short, but it was filled with BIG moments for our wolves!
A HUGE shout out to our incredible PACK for organizing two fantastic experiences for our students and families.
On Friday morning, students enjoyed an exciting and interactive BMX show that shared powerful messages through the Four Habits of Achievement: • Healthy Lifestyle • Follow Your Dreams • Knowledge is Power • Always Be Kind
That evening, families gathered for Fontana’s first ever Someone Special Glow Party! This amazing event — led by PACK and supported by our dedicated parent volunteers — was beautifully decorated, thoughtfully organized, and full of joy, laughter, and connection. It created memories that will be cherished for years to come… and may very well mark the beginning of a wonderful ASA tradition.
To PACK, our parent volunteers, and all who joined in — Count Me In when it comes to celebrating the strength of our community. Your partnership and commitment to our wolves truly make a difference. Thank you for showing up and shining bright for our students! 🐾
Looking ahead, this upcoming week is one of the highlights of the year as our wolves take ownership of their learning through Student-Led Celebrations. This special ASA tradition reflects our Count Me In spirit — students stepping forward with confidence and pride to share their growth and accomplishments. Our teachers and students have worked hard preparing for this meaningful experience, and we are excited for you to be part of it.
Please remember to sign up for a time slot with each of your child’s classroom teachers. We also encourage you to visit enrichment classes — no sign-up required! Enrichment Visit Times: Wednesday: 1:30–3:45 PM Thursday: 1:30–5:00 PM
Please note that Student-Led Celebrations are not intended to serve as individual conferences. If you would like to schedule additional time to meet with your child’s teacher, please contact them directly to arrange another time.
We look forward to welcoming you to campus this week and celebrating learning together — because at ASA, every voice matters and every wolf can say… Count Me In! 🐺✨
Your Proud Principal, -Mrs Valenta

Consistent attendance builds responsibility, character and readiness for the future. From February 17 through March 6, 2026, all Allegiance STEAM Academy students (TK–8) have the opportunity to be entered into a special drawing — simply by demonstrating consistency and commitment.
Students who meet this expectation will be entered into a drawing for a Family Fun Night at an Ontario Reign hockey game in a private suite with food included. Thanks to the generous support of BCM Group, Inc. Construction Management, two families from our Chino campus and two families from our Fontana campus will win.
- Students will 100% attendance from February 16 through March 6, 2026 will be entered into a random drawing
- Each winning family may bring up to four family members.
- Fontana Winners will attend Wednesday, March 11
To qualify, students must have: • Zero absences (No excused or unexcused) • Zero tardies • Zero early pickups Short-term Independent Study may be utilized for unavoidable absences. Contact the attendance office to learn more.
At ASA, attendance is more than a requirement — it is preparation for college, career and life readiness. Let's work together to help students understand that consistency matters.
Let’s show up — together. |
At Allegiance STEAM Academy, Student-Led Celebrations (SLCs) give students the opportunity to take ownership of their learning. During SLCs, students guide their families through their work, reflect on their growth, and share their goals.
Unlike traditional Parent-Teacher Conferences, students lead the conversation. Families are encouraged to listen, ask supportive questions, and celebrate progress, while teachers serve as facilitators and supporters.
Please note that SLCs are not intended for discussing concerns or holding individual conferences. If you would like to address specific questions or concerns, families may request a separate Parent-Teacher Conference by contacting their student’s teacher at any time.
Family Engagement Opportunities at ASA - Triad Conferences – Beginning of the school year
- Student-Led Celebrations – Middle of the school year
- STEAM Live! – End of the school year
📌 Please review the graphic above for a helpful comparison between Student-Led Celebrations and Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Thank you for partnering with us to celebrate student learning and growth. We look forward to welcoming you! |
We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure. Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district.
The latest update from FUSD indicates that the plans are still with civil engineers and must reach 80% completion before being submitted to the Division of the State Architect (DSA) for approval. The district is awaiting confirmation from their architect on next steps.
We will continue to share updates as soon as we receive them. Thank you for your patience as we work with FUSD to ensure these much-anticipated improvements move forward for our Wolves. |

This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill: Coping Strategies 🌟
Coping strategies are tools and actions we can use to help ourselves when we feel upset, stressed, worried, or overwhelmed. They help calm our body, clear our mind, and handle tough feelings in healthy ways. Learning and practicing coping strategies helps us feel more in control and ready to handle challenges when they come. 🌿💚
💬 Character Skill Reflections: - Name 3 coping skills you can use. When is a good time to use one of these coping strategies?
- When something felt hard or stressful, what helped you calm your body?
- What coping skill do you want to try next time you need to?
If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org

Coping strategies are tools and actions we can use to help students when feeling upset, stressed, worried, or overwhelmed.
Here are some simple coping strategies families can practice at home (TK–8th Grade):
1️⃣ Deep Breathing Slow breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth help calm our body and brain.
2️⃣ Take a Break Step away, sit quietly, or get a drink of water to reset.
3️⃣ Talk It Out Share feelings with a trusted adult, sibling, or friend.
4️⃣ Move Your Body Stretch, walk, dance, or do jumping jacks to release stress.
5️⃣ Use Your Senses Hold a favorite object, listen to calming music, or notice things you can see, hear, or feel.
Practicing calming tools at home supports our Wolves in building emotional regulation and confidence. 🐺 |
